MacDiarmid did not write in "anglicised Scots", he wrote in "literary Lowland Scots". It has sometimes been termed "plastic [Lowland] Scots" or "artificial [Lowland] Scots", but I don't think it can be called "anglicised", since it is a deliberate attempt to get away from anglicisation, and HM said so himself. 14 November 2004 146.176.61.61 (talk)
This article gives the impression that he was in the NPS and CPGB at the same time, which I don't believe was the case. But it is true that he was expelled from both. -- MacRusgail 18:33, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
The ODNB has HM's date of death as 9 September 1978. Dsp13 11:04, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Is there a reason that busts and sculptures exclusively have been employed to represent the subject, and no actual photographs of him?
Seems odd given that he lived into the 1970s and there are numerous photos of him circulated online.
