military service

The military service section stated he left after the death of his step-mother in 1882. As his only step-mother lived until 1920 that seems to be an error and I removed it. The cited reference does not support the statement - it confirms he resigned in 1882 but did not the reason. Robert Bin Peters ( talk) 04:35, 8 January 2012 (UTC) reply

Error in bio

Hugh Macdonald was never the Premier of Ontario as stated in the banner on his biography here. He was Premier of Manitoba from Jan. 10, 1900 (not 2000) 2607:FEA8:C1DF:7100:9951:5CA3:85E:E41A ( talk) 22:14, 10 November 2022 (UTC) reply
