Hello all, in the Unique and specialty hotels section may I suggest adding a paragraph for castle hotels?
Castle hotels:
Any castle or castle folly that offers overnight accommodation can be termed a castle hotel. The U.K. can be seen as the most popular place for a castle hotel stay, with Scotland having the majority at over 30. These properties will generally have historic interest and many offer historical lectures, guided tours etc. [1]
Notable castle hotels include Amberley Castle in West Sussex, England, Taj Lake Palace in Udaipur, India [2], Scone Palace in Perthshire, Scotland, home of the Stone of Scone, and Ashford Castle, County Mayo, Ireland. [3]
Thank you. Jeulonew ( talk) 12:00, 1 August 2022 (UTC)
References
I am interested in learning what kind of facilities these long term residents had. There is no description of size, number of rooms, etc. They are rich and famous, so I assume it wasn’t a simple room with a separate bath. What was it? Some description please.
