The last paragraph si so unrelated to an article on a PVC awardee. Why is it required in a biographical article?

Arun Khetarpal was from 17 Horse,also known as Poona Horse.He was not from 3 Grenadiers.May be corrected. 2. The bridgehead established by Major Hoshiar Singh was counter attacked by a Frontier Force Battalion of Pakistan Army.This was led by a very brave Pakistani Officer who carried his sword and the attacking forces came within 40 yards of the Grenadier positions.While this spoke volumes of the bravery of the defenders;it also spoke of the near success of the Pakistan attackers.Maj Gen W A G Pinto,GOC of the Indian division,while visiting this location immediately after the ceasefire, met the Subedar Major of the Pakistan F F unit who was collecting their dead bodies,with tears in his eyes.The bravery of the Pakistani troops was self evident.Gen Pinto,immediately wrote out a citation recommending the Pakistani commanding officer for 'Halal e Jurrat',and pinned it to his clothes.This brave officer was later conferred the highest bravery award by the Govt of Pakistan.
