Molecules of solid solution series

"Hornblende is an isomorphous mixture of three molecules; a calcium-iron-magnesium silicate, an aluminium-iron-magnesium silicate, and an iron-magnesium silicate. "

This is actually pretty unhelpful as it stands. It doesn't explain where alkali metals come in to the composition, nor the halogen/hydroxide. At the very least, the actual formulas for the molecules ought to be included here. -- Kent G. Budge ( talk) 14:05, 25 June 2019 (UTC) reply

Should we create an article for a related mineral called metahornblendite? 173.88.246.138 ( talk) 12:52, 4 August 2020 (UTC) reply

Metahornblendite is not a mineral. It is a somewhat uncommon name for a rock type. -- Kent G. Budge ( talk) 14:01, 4 August 2020 (UTC) reply
