Hoosier Hysteria is not just an IU term, nor is it just an effect of the movie Hoosiers. It is a sporting term, akin to March Madness. The term has been used for decades, and was immortalized and spread by the ESPN broadcast of the Indiana High School Basketball finals. Although the Hackman film is a good demonstration of the event, it is not the sole example of it.
I added information about the University of Evansville and University of Southern Indiana to the college section. The UE section should speak for itself, and I felt USI was significant because the Eagles not only carry on the Evansville tradition in Division II but there is also talk among the university administration of possibly applying for D-I status within a few years. I felt three national championship game appearances in 10 years plus current continuing success was worth mentioning. Plus current Tennessee coach Bruce Pearl is a former USI coach.
I mean... if IUPUI is worth mentioning, then surely UE is, and USI probably is too. Orpheus42 06:33, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
Should the "One-Class" section be referred to as "No-Class?" I see where we're going, but there truly were not any classes in use for decades. 199.8.239.178 ( talk) 03:17, 23 November 2007 (UTC)
No: one-class or "single class".
There's only one single bullet vs. the page of information for Ball St.? Isn't ND among the Top 20 in NCAA appearances? A Final Four, UCLA's winning streak, all these come to mind, yet they're treated like a totally insignificant program. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.108.221.235 ( talk) 05:50, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
