Homestar Runner is a notable topic, but this notability doesn't extend to its fictional subtopics. Notability in fiction is defined by the amount of non-trivial information that pertains to the real world that a topic can have (per WP:FICT and WP:WAF). Besides Trogdor, this information is unavailable, and Trogdor's information can be placed into this article fairly easily. The Homestar Runner Wiki is a much better place for the more in-universe information. TTN 22:38, 6 August 2007 (UTC)
No merge for Homsar. Yes, Homsar is sad and pathetic and worthless and a stupid loser and a sad pathetic worthless stupid loser, but his article is really good and very informative. I for one am glad somebody took the time to write it. 72.207.38.164 11:05, 15 August 2007 (UTC)
I'd support the merge. Considering the very small amount of real-world sources on most of the articles. Why is everyone bolding? This isn't a vote. — Malcolm ( talk) 21:18, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
I'll probably go ahead and redirect these soon, and just copy over the "Principal Characters" section from the world article to start off with. After that, it should be shaped into a general description of the characters and their interactions. There may be a majority "keep", but they're mostly WP:ILIKEIT and the ever strange "They won't fit" comments (Is it that hard to realize that they'll be downsized?), which have no baring on the discussion. TTN 21:28, 14 September 2007 (UTC)
HERE IS A COMPROMISE How about we have 3-4 sentence descriptions for most of the characters, and revive Homestar, Strong Bad, and Trogdor to their former glory. And maybe a main article on SBEmails. Strongbad717 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.184.202.131 ( talk) 21:20, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
I concur I would like to see Homestar, Trogdor, and Strong Bad revived, and I think that a main page for the SBEmails is very much in order. I have removed Image:Everybody-poster.PNG from the article, which used to have the caption "The multiplicity of characters from the cartoon." This is an example of unfair use; you can't use an image of a commercial product to illustrate what's on the product. For example, if John Galt was on the cover of Time magazine, we couldn't use a scan of the cover in his infobox; however, if we wrote about the magazine article in our encyclopedia article, then we could include a low-resolution copy alongside the commentary in most cases. Since this article doesn't talk about the Homestar poster at all, it's inappropriate to have a picture of it in the article. I hope this helps. Cheers, ➪ HiDrNick! 04:30, 11 September 2007 (UTC)

'Senor Cardgage' redirects to this article, however he does not appear in the list of charatcers (I would add him but I've no idea what to say about him). The only mention of him in this article is the bit about Senorial Day, just after this there is a link that says 'Senor Cardgage' in the text but it links to the article 'List of Homestar Runner Characters' which also links back to this article. I'm curious as to why the section about the Homestar Runner Wiki was removed. In my opinion, the Homestar Runner Wiki is one of the more stable and well-run and popular fan Wikis on the internet. Why it cannot even have a brief mention in the Wikipedia article about its subject while train wrecks like Memory Alpha continue to have large articles dedicated to them is beyond me. BassBone ( talk) 10:13, 29 November 2007 (UTC)
It is not only a wiki, it is used by TBC many times and is perhaps one of the biggest wikis on the net. It's not the wiki that you want to vandalize, trolls go down in about 3 minutes, usually. Alrite now, I'm positive that by now at least Homestar and Strongbad have earned their own articles. It's kinda ridiculous that they don't. And Marzipan too by now. These are actual characters just like each member of Gorillaz. And each of those members has their own page. I will certainly contribute massively as possible to these articles once created, once I am sure enough people won't delete it in the name of all thats holy. Let's step it up. 76.27.215.219 ( talk) 19:44, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

In order to uphold the quality of Wikipedia:Good articles, all articles listed as Good articles are being reviewed against the GA criteria as part of the GA project quality task force. While all the hard work that has gone into this article is appreciated, unfortunately, as of October 16, 2008, this article fails to satisfy the criteria, as detailed below. For that reason, the article has been delisted from WP:GA. However, if improvements are made bringing the article up to standards, the article may be nominated at WP:GAN. If you feel this decision has been made in error, you may seek remediation at WP:GAR.

There is certainly mention of the Store itself, and that it's still up and running.. but perhaps it should be noted that nothing is actually available anymore. I've been unable to purchase anything from it for months, always told the item I've clicked on is Sold Out. This has apparently caused the DVDs to shoot up in price, if Amazon.com is any evidence. I have no idea how you'd properly "source" any of that except by going and trying it yourself, which Wikipedia doesn't seem to take kindly to things like that. Basically, I'm saying that maybe a note after discussion of the store, in the Hiatus/Downtime section, about how the Store, while still running, is completely sold out and does not restock.-- 68.6.234.179 ( talk) 08:56, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

I've been overhauling the page lately to streamline years of inconsistent, outdated elements. The page reads of being the product of many authors with conflicting writing styles, and an unnecessary focus on a handful of irrelevant details, giving a false impression of what Homestar Runner is. In the "Cartoons" section, I feel the level of detail given to minor spin-off series is unnecessary but am unsure how else to cover these elements. Perhaps bunching some together under a single "alternate universes" subheader? It just feels wrong to give the impression of Cheat Commandos being equally important as Strong Bad Email.

If it doesn't get a part in this article, than it should have its own. If SNPedia gets its article, than why not the HRWiki? -A fan and contributor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.80.178.109 ( talk) 18:32, 9 June 2009 (UTC)

This is a hopeless stub should be merged in here to build up this article. Judgesurreal777 ( talk) 01:43, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
So, how do we close this?, since it's safe to say most people want to merge Where's an Egg but want to keep Strong Bad Sings seperate. Especially considering it survived deletion
before.

Shouldn't it be a separate article? It wasn't created by The Brothers Chaps, and most every wiki has it's own article.--{{SUBST:User:Kirbychu HR'D/sig}} 20:44, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

The image in the history section isn't early Homestar art, it says on the site it's of Kick the Can Homestar, made 4 years after Homestar was designed.

There have been a number of edits about the podcasts, which seem a bit strange. I deleted that podcasts were available "for the micorsoft Zune", as I couldn't see any evidence of this. Now someone has changed "a video-enabled iPod" to "a video-enabled portable media player (such as an iPod)", for which, again, I can't see any evidence. I'll revert, because I don't believe it is supported. cojoco ( talk) 21:56, 5 January 2009 (UTC)

Is it appropriate for this article to use the past tense? It's obvious that this site hasn't been updated in a few years, but it didn't cease to be, nor was it ever formally announced over. Adrian Malacoda ( talk) 02:02, 9 December 2012 (UTC)

Hey, it looks like we saw some new Homestar Runner stuff from the last Wootstock. They just uploaded the scene from the event.
