Current status: Good article |
Again, I find some problems with the way it is written, but I think these are probably quick fixes. Here are my notes:
1 (a). Prose
1 (b). Structure
6 (a) and (b) Images
If you make the changes in 1(a) and 1(b), I will promote the article to GA status immediately. I would love to see the changes made in 6(a) and 6(b), but they are not necessary. Good work so far, I really like what you've done here. Good luck! – King Bee ( T • C) 20:18, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
I started a trivia section and it was summarily removed without any explanation. Many of the entries for other Simpsons episodes have a Trivia section - did I do something wrong? Instead of adding it again, I figured I'd ask here - why was it removed? 71.56.86.252 19:15, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
Wasn't aware of that. I'm still new to adding stuff to wikipedia. If that's the way the wind is blowing regarding episode articles, then I guess that makes sense. Thanks for the speedy reply. 71.56.86.252 02:57, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

I added Homer's final line to the plot section (despite their being no other direct quotes from the episode). One of the undercurrents of the episode is Homer's relationship with TV; he views it as a family member and trusts it. His last line neatly ties all that together and even the quote by itself gives a good sense of the whole. Since it acts as a good summary of how he felt conflicted the whole time, I think it deserves the bit of extra recognition while other lines might not. The movie version of Mamet's "Oleanna" was released a few weeks before broadcast of this. The parallels are interesting. The episode would have been highly topical at the time due to the then-controversy over Mamet's story. DancesWithGrues ( talk) 23:23, 25 March 2021 (UTC)
