"Municipal heritage site"

The "proper" term is technically "designated historic monument" (Monument historique cité) according to the relevant section (§70) of the provincial Cultural Property Act. Although designation is made by a municipality, the powers invested in the act are enshrined in provincial law and I'm not sure calling it a "municipal heritage site" which puts in my mind a different spin when compared to U.S. historic preservation laws.

Also, while I'm at it, the relevant page on the provincial website is here. Circeus ( talk) 16:10, 16 March 2009 (UTC) reply
