The club website describes Hoboken FC as "one of the five oldest continuously playing soccer clubs in the United States". They were founder members of the German American Soccer League, which according to the Cosmopolitan Soccer League WP article "was highly successful in the 1920s and, in New York, was behind only baseball and basketball in terms of popularity". I'd expect any sporting endeavour behind only baseball and basketball in terms of popularity in New York to have been the subject of quite significant media coverage, and certainly not an uncontroversial candidate for deletion as required by WP:PROD.
