The family wasn't merely "prominent" -- they were wealthy slumlords and fascists. The history of the Husseini family is too complex to be related here, but it should be said that Abdel-Kadr Husseini was the first Arab commander of the Siege of Jerusalem, responsible for the death of 4,000 Jews and as such, the man most responsible for Deir Yassin -- a breakout attempt by hungry men gone horribly wrong. Abdel-Kadr himself was, of course, the nephew of Haj Amin al-Husseini, the head of the Husseini family and an infamous Nazi war criminal. 68.4.200.35 ( talk) 08:44, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
