Deep Purple version?

So . . . you're not going to mention the version of "Hey Joe" by Deep Purple? It was on their 1968 debut album, Shades of Deep Purple; and on early pressings (including mine), the songwriter for "Hey Joe" was listed as "Deep Purple". Shocking Blue ( talk) 14:14, 11 March 2021 (UTC) reply

See WP:SONGCOVER. If you can find independent sources that mention their version as significant in ways that meet that guidance, go straight ahead and re-add it. The writing credit was supposedly just a mistake, I think. Ghmyrtle ( talk) 14:44, 11 March 2021 (UTC) reply
