I think there is an chronological problem in the gardens section, it is stated "The gardens were laid out by Gertrude Jekyll and Edwin Lutyens for Coplestone Warre Bamfylde" - as Coplestone Warre Bamfylde, died 1791, I don't see how Lutyens and Jeckyl could have designed the gardend for him. I remember that the planted plat at Hestercombe— in the form of a square with a saltire criss-cross, I remember— was replanted in the 1970s (?) according to a surviving Gertrude Jekyll planting plan— by the Somerset Volunteer Fire Brigade!— a memorable and enviable mark of the general level of culture in the UK, I thought as an American. I was introduced there to Bergenia, which a gardener of Miss Jekyll's generation, perhaps Elwes, dubbed "pigsqueak". -- Wetman 07:47, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
This article has failed its GA because of criteria two, references. I feel that this article needs way more references on a lot of the statements, in all of the sections (including the intro). With the references included I think that this article will do nicely. Dooms Day349 00:10, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
