The "ahh" reflex?

I came across this page while trying to find out the physiology of the "yes, that was satisfying, I don't need to yawn again" feeling you get after a yawn or deep breath. (Or, put another way, the feeling you DON'T get after an aborted yawn...) I've had a voice teacher call it the "lifting of the larynx", but I don't think that's physically accurate. I feel it near the top of the sternum, but of course I have no idea if that's the "usual" sensation. I don't feel an "exhale now!" reflex, so I suspect the "ahh" and the Hering-Breuer may be two different things.

Anyway... if anyone with expertise knows if this is related, it'd be nice to see that in the article. JayLevitt ( talk) 11:09, 19 August 2008 (UTC) reply

Title edit?

Since both the inflation and deflation reflexes are discussed here, should the title be renamed to be the Hering-Breuer reflexes? Myoglobin ( talk) 01:28, 11 April 2016 (UTC) reply
