In addition to his MI5 work, Christopher Andrew says Pakenham was a "former ADC to the Governors General of Canada and India" (I assume ADC means aide-de-camp). Andrew cites the MI5 archives as his source. I've not added it here, as that's not really enough info for a proper entry, but it would make an interesting addition to the article if we could dig up more info (I can't immediately find more on Google). --
