2011 election

I am moving this part from the lead here: "He ran for reelection in April 2011, but after initially being declared winner the result was overturned and he was arrested." Other than the NPOV aspect of this, I am having trouble backing it up. From what I understand, there will be another election, right? Dreambeaver ( talk) 03:01, 25 May 2012 (UTC) reply

  • The statement is backed up by the source cited in the body of the article, ThisDay. But it looks like either he appealed and won the appeal or re-ran and won the reelection, because his entry in Nassnig shows him as the current senator. I may dig around and try to do an update with recent events. Aymatth2 ( talk) 12:41, 25 May 2012 (UTC) reply
Great -- Thanks for the clarification and the update on the page. Dreambeaver ( talk) 01:45, 26 May 2012 (UTC) reply
