From what I understand, at the time it was established the cemetery was located within Hundstrum, which was then outside of central Vienna. As a result of rezoning in the early 20th century and continued expansion of the city's boundaries, it is now located within
Meidling. I would agree, however, that Hundstrum was never a city, and at the time it was a small suburb of Vienna. —
