Hey @ Brachy0008! The reason that there is no "Personnel" section for the original song is because there's actually no info on them. The liner notes of the album dosen't have credits at all, just the prologue and the songs. Gained ( talk) 06:36, 20 May 2024 (UTC) reply
understandable. however, some other Speak Now articles were able to milk personnel information from tidal. also, isn’t haunted a promotional single? Brachy08 (Talk) 07:35, 20 May 2024 (UTC) reply
I personally don't think Tidal is a good source for personnels as per WP:AFFILIATE, and I can't access it anyway. And no, "Haunted" is not a promotional single; the acoustic version is. Gained ( talk) 08:23, 20 May 2024 (UTC) reply
I mean... songs like mine are walking around wikipedia as GAs with tidal-supported personnel sections Brachy08 (Talk) 09:21, 20 May 2024 (UTC) reply
Well... Tidal has been one of the standard source for personnels for years, but I still find it sketchy as Swift nor Big Machine never released the official credits. Gained ( talk) 09:31, 20 May 2024 (UTC) reply

It's me! Hi! I'm the reviewer, it's me. Don't mind me, just reviewing an article I created (and was later stolen) about yet another Taylor Swift song =D.

Not so much comments yet (due to my shitty iPad external keyboard not working, so i has to resort to the digital and more shittier one), however a first look into the article, it seems a bit incomplete (probably bc of the personnel section leaving it haunted).

Sources...?

Background and writing

  • FN 2: Not really sure how you got She conceived the album as a collection of songs about the things she had wanted to but was unable to do with the people she had met in real life from FN 2 (maybe bc of heavy paraphrasing, so I would like a bit of quotation).
    • minus Removed — I agree. I took the text and sources from a fellow Speak Now track article and didn't check the sources because I was sure the text were supported by the sources. Now that I checked them, I don't see any info on the FN 2 that was related to the text. Gained ( talk) 14:24, 29 May 2024 (UTC) reply

Background and writing clears. Good job! Also delved into the Music and lyrics section and so far, so good. Keep up the good work, I will come back with MORE comments.

Music and lyrics

  • FN 23: No mention of Haunted.
    • "Haunted" is mentioned in the source, but it's understandable that it can't be found immediately, for the article loads very slowly (at least for me). Anyways, you can find it in the "Call It What You Want" of Speak Now. Gained ( talk) 03:54, 3 June 2024 (UTC) reply
  • FN 24: Is The Morning Call reliable?
  • Can you quote FN 17 (The Words and Music of Taylor Swift)?
    • I don't think a quote would suffice because it is kind of tricky to that. Okay but here, Perone explicitly states that the song has an orchestral arrangement made by Paul Buckmaster and favorably compares it to Billy Joel's "Pressure". Gained ( talk) 09:02, 4 June 2024 (UTC) reply
checks out Brachy08 (Talk) 10:16, 4 June 2024 (UTC) reply
  • FN 29: Is Yahoo! Music Our Country reliable?
    • Yahoo! Music is actually just where the article was uploaded and they did not publish it themselves, which I changed now in the prose. It was uploaded by Our Country, Chris Willman's country blog. I don't see a problem on the reliability of the blog since Willman is a very experienced critic and now a chief music critic at Variety. Gained ( talk) 08:46, 4 June 2024 (UTC) reply
Whoops, I found that Willman is not the only person who writes for the blog. But my point still stands that the article is acceptable because it was written by him. Gained ( talk) 08:49, 4 June 2024 (UTC) reply
    it’ll pass Brachy08 (Talk) 10:16, 4 June 2024 (UTC) reply
  • Can you quote FN 33?
    • "Here the end of a romantic relationship prefigures a type of haunting, as the singer begs her lover not to leave her a haunted life." Gained ( talk) 08:55, 4 June 2024 (UTC) reply

Live performances

Copyvios

  • Checked with Earwig's. Copyvios unlikely (10.7%)

Other concerns

  • I don't really think that the quotations in her "great" songwriting skill are necessary, best to remove them, maybe paraphrase it a bit?
    • Paraphrased
