There was no USS Harry L. Glucksman
The Navy did not retain the Liberty ship's name when converted into a special "device" for Atlantic Fleet Mine Force's research and development project. Device or ship, the hull was never commissioned and thus "USS" is improper. There is no DANFS as there was no such Navy "ship" named Harry L. Glucksman, Minesweeper Special (MSS-1) or even MSS-1. The only reference to Harry L. Glucksman in a search of the .mil domain is a report on hull cracks in WW II era vessels with a mention of such a casualty to the Liberty of that name in 1945.
