Harry Hobson & Mercers Guild says he was a member "by right of patrimony"; as does King George VI's entry on the Fishmongers Guild use the (legal?) phrase "by right of patrimony". On these two pages, there is no link to the (legal?) definition of "by right of patrimony"; if Wikipedia elsewhere defines the term, I suggest it be linked. Alas, I am no scholar and am somewhat--correct procedurally--lost, wanting to add a little help, while avoiding harm. James A.
