This going on about similarities to "Pawn Stars" is unnecessary and frivolous. Maybe just a line or two, but droning on and on like that does not seem encyclopedic. 71.222.124.210 ( talk)
I personally know that, for example, the quote from Seth in the "Overview" section is true, but still, citations are needed all over the place. If you've gone to the trouble of writing the piece, much less using direct quotes, then it should not be too difficult to refer to the episode, or wherever you got the information from. 71.222.124.210 ( talk) 17:20, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
All such shows are staged. I personally know people who have worked in "reality" television like this. All of the episodes are scripted in advance. The producers seek out "crazies" and people who own unusual items to bring to the show. This is entertainment, not reality. 50.81.60.161 ( talk) 23:13, 5 July 2011 (UTC)
The store is real, but the scenes are all fake done by local actors. With all the "confrontations" not once do you see a police response. You think there would be at least one. Some have been actual customers paid to ham it up for "TruTV" It is not reality, it's actuality" yea right.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.4.107.152 ( talk) 01:17, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
I think there is too much here about the comparison to Pawn Stars and the article lacks anything else. I have removed the blatant Non-NPOV advertisement section that appears to have been made by someone working for the pawn shop or the show, but this article needs more information - perhaps some sourced positive criticism along with the bad. In the pilot for the show the head of security gets in trouble for biting an employee on the buttocks while searching her as part of their standard security policy to search employees and their handbags before leaving the store.
In the first episode of season 7, the pawn shop institutes a "new policy" to search handbags before employees leave the store. Seth surprises everyone by telling the security guard to frisk the employees.
Not much true in this TruTV show (or any of them that I can tell). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 155.49.15.164 ( talk) 15:09, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

Although this article is nominally about the TV show, it contains a lot of BLP info about Les Gold himself. In fact, Les Gold presently redirects here. BLP articles require special handling and shouldn't be under the guise of a TV show article. I propose we replace the redirect macro by moving BLP info on Gold there, and leave the TV show info here. I believe this article should have a section on Les and Seth Gold and Ashley Broad, as well as a separate article on these three characters. DDear99 ( talk) 00:43, 7 May 2013 (UTC)
