Is Tirtan Tanit?

In arabian areas the Hamsa is a similar good luck hand. Often in ancient times it was inscribed with the sign of Tanit, a powerful god of the times. Is the 'o'Tirtan' of the Irulegi an invocation to Tanit or similar local god? I believe that Vasco relates to Etruscan. 1.157.9.189 ( talk) 04:51, 27 March 2024 (UTC) reply
