Was the song he made in Junior-High really an original, or did the show just use an existing piece? I cant tell so far but I'm looking into it. If it is an existing piece thats probably worth mentioning in the article....actually its worth mentioning if isn't as well.-- 129.2.239.251 05:18, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Does anyone know the actual piano piece that the character House says is his in "Half-wit"? Just trying to figure out if it is a real piece.
Can any of the more musically adept transcribe the chord progression (both by House and by Patrick)? I think it's quite nice. Twifkak 01:26, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
In the commentary to Half-Wit on the DVD Boxset, David Shore and Katie Jacobs explain that House's song is an original piece, written by John Ehrlich, the series' composer, when he was in high school. Quinnfeld ( talk) 12:12, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
There is no third movement to the Waldstein sonata... 207.216.182.47 03:53, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
From a technical standpoint, there is indeed a third movement.
http://www.all-about-beethoven.com/waldstein.html - "Initially, the sonata had three movements, but subsequently, the composer eliminated the second part, replacing it with short introduction for the last movement."
http://www.raptusassociation.org/son21e.html - "Each of the sonatas is in three movements, but in both cases--especially in opus 53--the slow movements are organically connected with the finales so as to give the impression of magnified two-movement works." 74.103.172.229 4:10, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Why would Dave Matthews need a hand-double when he can play the piano? 128.61.123.149 00:49, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure that House's yearbook couldn't be Hugh Laurie's actual yearbook. Generally British schools don't have yearbooks, it's an American custom - and in addition, HL went to an all boys' school (Eton) and there is a girl pictured in it. It's definitely a photograph of him though. 194.46.247.29 22:34, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
On the DVD commentary, Katie Jacobs confirms that Laurie's UK agent supplied the yearbook photograph. Niki2006 ( talk) 20:21, 1 February 2008 (UTC)
I added the note on the chord, but I'm not quite sure of the notation. Can anyone check? The absolute pitch ability is shown because Patrick has no reference note to recognize the chord. Xdaryl 23:36, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
Mistake in both the show ("his right side [of the brain] has always sucked") and in the explanation contained previously. The right eye feeds information to both sides of the brain. The right primary cortex (in the occipital lobe) is responsible for the left hemifield-- the left visual half of the world. No single neurological disorder could cause agnosia for just one eye. -- 165.123.243.168 17:55, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Any inclination to add to the article that the first song that House played, and that Dave Matthews' character repeated, was the introduction to the song "I Don't Like Mondays" by the Boomtown Rats?
