Does it occur naturally?

This article suggests that it is synthetic and can be maufactured in the lab, but is it found in nature?-- Origamikid ( talk) 05:34, 23 February 2008 (UTC) reply

That depends on the exact definition 100% Hf Hafnon will never occure. If you call something with 30 60 0r 90% Hafnon than it might be possibe, but that somebody from the mineranology should decide.-- Stone ( talk) 09:07, 23 February 2008 (UTC) reply

So then wouldn't the formula be (Hf,Zr)SiO4?-- Origamikid ( talk) 05:48, 14 May 2008 (UTC) reply

IMA approved mineral, nine localities on mindat.org. IMA-CNMNC gives the ideal end chemical formula. -- Chris.urs-o ( talk) 19:21, 27 May 2011 (UTC) reply
