Famous people from Haddington - Who is Kathleen Maclennan? ~~LP
I have just placed this on the user Talk page of Deiz: Can you explain on the Haddington Talk page why you removed: David Gilfillan, Columbia recording guitarist was born in Haddington. Please note that I was not the person who originally posted this info, but I think you owe us an explanation.

It was called this almost until the 20th century. So I think references before then should give it the name in use at the time of the reference. (In any case there is a redirection in place taking you to East Lothian when you click on Haddingtonshire). I have three maps here: 1707, 1815 and 1854. They all call it Haddingtonshire. Angus is another example. It was still called county Forfar in the 1871 census returns. David Lauder 09:10, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
Should there not really be a separate page for this establishment, from its Norman foundation by Ada de Warenne to collegiatism, and its present place as possibly the largest kirk in Scotland? Brendandh 00:53, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
I have removed all the POV, and have trimmed down the extremely convoluted historical sections, which were extremely hard to understand and didn't make sense in some places. Tpacw ( talk) 12:24, 19 August 2008 (UTC)
