The article states "Confusingly, it stands at the end of a road bearing the name of another prison: Parkhurst Road." what is so confusing about this? HMP Holloway is in London and HMP Parkhurst is in the Isle of Wight. The two can hardly be confused. Deckchair 16:03, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
If anyone's interested, I've proposed a new wikiproject for the creation and improvement of articles regarding specific prisons, internment camps, and detention centers here. -- Cdogsimmons ( talk) 01:57, 23 June 2008 (UTC)
Any that could be added to warrant a new section? Mac Dreamstate ( talk) 00:33, 20 April 2015 (UTC)

It is plainly very unlikely that both of these are true: "Holloway prison was opened in 1852 as a mixed-sex prison..." and "Until 1991, the Prison was staffed by Home Office appointed, female Prison Officers." There must be a "From" missing in the second sentence -- but given contemporary attitudes to female employment, it also seems fairly unlikely that the workforce became all-female when the prisoners did in 1903. Does anyone have any positive information on this? Phil PH ( talk) 20:36, 23 June 2019 (UTC)
Palisades1, Stephencdickson, Philip Cross, Victuallers, Jack1956, should we use the population figure in the infobox now that the prison is not in use? It seems redundant to now include this statistic. Is it not standard procedure that prisons not in use do not include this figure? (Pinged recent editors). Helper201 ( talk) 19:53, 9 January 2021 (UTC) No strong opinion.
