It seems odd that HMS Columbine should be both: • an Osprey-class screw sloop launched as HMS Wild Swan in 1876, converted to a base ship and renamed HMS Clyde in 1904, renamed HMS Columbine in 1912, and • a naval base at Port Edgar on the Firth of Forth between 1917 and 1938. I do not know enough about the vessel to tell when the ship based HQ became a shore station to correct this entry. Perhaps another Wikipedean can help? Shipsview ( talk) 10:30, 19 November 2023 (UTC)
