Had to remove the picture of Turkish whirling dervishes, whose dance movements are a part of 13th century Sufic repertoire originating from Maulana Jalaladdin Rumi in Anatolia and cannot in any way be attributed to Gurdjieff, as much as he may have been "inspired" by Rumi, the Mevlevi Order et al. For more info cross-check: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mevlevi_Order

Please dear Editors, make the effort to add pictures specifically relating to the Gurdjieff dance movement. Thank you! Musa Emre ( talk) 23:03, 30 October 2012 (UTC) reply

In my opinion this article is missing crucial information about the subject matter.

  • When did Gurdjieff present and teach the movements?
  • How are they documented?
  • Where is the quoted series of movements from?
  • What is the source of the claim of the movements' nature as "knowledge" and what exactly is it supposed to mean?
  • The claim that certain followers insist on the significance of a direct lineage to Gurdjieff is not documented either.
