Theramin, responding here to the point you made about calling the "crest" of the figurine a "mane." I think the difference in terminology depends on whether you see the attribute as part of a figurine, or as part of a boar; crest is the term adopted by Foster, but mane seems equally appropriate. I have changed it to mane, which has the additional benefit of avoiding any confusion between it and boar-crested helmets. If the boar is taken for the crest of a helmet, then its mane, termed otherwise, would be the crest of a crest. Thanks for your suggestion, and for your copyedit of the rest of the article. -- Usernameunique ( talk) 05:56, 10 October 2017 (UTC)
Interesting article about an object I probably would have never heard of otherwise. This is why I read Wikipedia every day. Eric Cable ! Talk 14:01, 20 December 2017 (UTC)
The reference 'British Museum a' is invoked nine times, but I can't see any mention at all of the Guilden Morden boar on the related webpage. JezGrove ( talk) 23:11, 1 June 2018 (UTC) JezGrove ( talk) 23:11, 1 June 2018 (UTC)
