The spelling of the words "Tupi" and "Guarani" is nor consistent within the Wikipedia. Sometimes they appear with accute accents ("Tupí" and "Guaraní") which is the Spanish version, and sometimes without these accents (the Portuguese version). Tsf 19:20, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
This page says that Guarani I and II are Guarani languages. Tupi-Guarani languages says that these are two independent branches. Can we reconcile? Are the Guarani languages not monophyletic, or does the T-G article need updating? kwami ( talk) 22:00, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
According to Guarani language, it would appear that "Guarani language" is synonymous with "Guarani languages". Do we have any ref that Mbya Guarani, Ava Guarani, etc. are more distant than Bolivian & Paraguayan Guarani? kwami ( talk) 21:53, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
