I think this is the right building. But the title, "Student Health Centre", which is used in British Listed Buildings On-line, is confusing. Grove House is not the student health centre, and has not been at least since the 1970s, if ever (ascertained by talking with staff at Grove House). However, the listing is of 1963 and no member of staff at Grove House worked there before the 80s. It is 316-324 Oxford Road, at the junction with Dilworth Street, as Pevsner (2004) says, and it corresponds with both the Pevsner and the BLBO descriptions. Confirmation would be most helpful. I will then amend the Grade II* listed buildings in Manchester page to read Grove House and amend the title of the article page. Unless I'm wrong, in which case I shall need help to scrap the article.
P.S. Student Health Centre may not be the best title as the lead begins with a more useful one. The University has been calling it Grove House for many years and that was probably its original name also as Thorncliffe Grove was somewhere there.-- Felix Folio Secundus ( talk) 12:17, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
I agree. Shall I rename it Grove House and change the name in the Grade II* Manchester article? Will do so shortly unless anyone objects. KJP1 ( talk) 22:19, 10 September 2011 (UTC)
P.S. Suggest renaming as Grove House, Manchester.-- Felix Folio Secundus ( talk) 14:23, 20 September 2011 (UTC)
