Sounds like it was written by Greg Sestero's mum... I wrote a screenplay for a sequel to The Room titled 'The Thunderbox' with myself playing opposite Greg Sestero, and I received a letter of commendation from my cousin's late King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. My own dog wasn't overly enthused with the whole proposition. 167.30.73.70 ( talk) 06:40, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
Mostly organizational changes without major changes to info; put all info about The Room under one section, broke up earlier work versus work since. Took out comment about him writing a book since there was no reference. Also removed external links that are not appropriate (news articles aren't listed unless they're references). Probably still needs some additional cleanup and checking of references so I'm leaving the "stub" notice. Bobbyandbeans ( talk) 06:02, 4 March 2011 (UTC)
There is content in this article that relies on the personal resume of this person, which of course is not a secondary source and subject to a conflict of interest.-- Oakshade ( talk) 14:48, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
Just an FYI, I contacted Greg, not the other way around, because his page was not being done properly by another contributor. I removed promotional info, random and pointless outside links, and other inappropriate content, and cleaned up the references (check the history to compare). My "personal association" with him was initiated to get the page up to Wiki standards and to get the other user to stop vandalizing it with inappropriate content.
I'm aware that the reference to his resume for the statement about his French-English descent is not the best and Greg has said he'll try to find where it's been mentioned in an interview (it is also on his IMDB page but they're not the best reference either). I'll contact him again about that (although I don't see why that's something promotional or offensive).
My point is that my intention in doing this page is not to promote Greg but to get the page done according to Wiki standards. If someone has something constructive or something in particular that is bothersome, please don't hesitate to mention it, but I don't mind saying that I do resent the implication that I'm promoting him after the work I did to get it to a more neutral tone. The Big Shark article says that Sestero appeared in the 2019 trailer, but his part was recast and he ultimately had no role in the final film. This article claims that he “collaborated” with Wiseau on the film. Is his involvement in the trailer sufficient to count as “collaboration”? 180.233.127.65 ( talk) 08:35, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
