The name "Great Whale River" is the accepted English name in use for a long, long time. Its proper French name is "Grande rivière de la Baleine". So the name "Grande-Baleine River" is neither used by the English nor the French.
WP:UE states: use the most commonly used English version of the name for the article, as you would find it in other encyclopedias and reference works. This makes it easy to find, and easy to compare information with other sources.
Therefore the name of this page is reverted back to "Great Whale River". -- P199 13:26, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
