Is there a suitable place to start listing Duty Governors? This appointments appear (at least from the example I'm looking at of Humphrey Mynors) to be longer-term and less politcal, with the Governor being a figurehead more at the whim of the current governemt administration. -- Sladen ( talk) 21:08, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
The image File:BankOfEngland.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

This article is simply a list of governors. It tells us nothing about what the governor of the bank of England actually does. We could easily assume that the governor does very little. We might be wrong, but that is often the common perception.
