Hey User:Dassubrajit, thanks for trying to improve this page! I saw you recently added a list of notable people to the page. My concern is that such lists need to adhere to Wikipedia policies around living people. Citing from User:Sitush: "Wikipedia policies require that all content is verifiable using reliable sources. In the case of living people this is of particular importance. There is a subsidiary point of relevance also, which relates specifically to lists of people. The combined effect of these various policies in the context of this article is that every entry needs either to link to an existing Wikipedia article which itself contains verifiable information that the subject matter is/was a member of the [Gopal] community or needs to have suitable citations (ideally, more than one) to enable verifiability." To me, it looks like none of the currently-listed people are sourced either in this article or on their Wiki pages. Some other Category:Indian_castes pages have responded to the difficulty of verifying claims about living people by creating separate list pages e.g. List of Ezhavas. I'd recommend adding sources to verify the membership of the listed people, and consider spinning off that list into its own page. Otherwise, I'll remove the listing soon and it can be worked on in the future! Cheers, Suriname0 ( talk) 15:00, 22 September 2020 (UTC)

As per the most genuine and reliable dictionary of Odia language i.e. DDSA Purnachandra Bhasakosh of GC Praharaj , Gopa , Gopala are synonyms used for Gauda(Yadav) community of Odisha, which further makes it clear that the word 'Gopala' is indicated to one community. 2405:201:5C0A:7133:F4B5:113A:90DE:275A ( talk) 04:01, 31 January 2023 (UTC)
