Does anyone know anything about this? In the memoirs of Russian general Kuropatkin (due to the "Khodynka" in May 1896 in Moscow), we read:
"The Duke of Edinburgh said that during the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the reign of Queen Victoria had 2,500 people were killed and several thousand injured and no one was embarrassed." (Nikolai II: Memoirs. Diaries. St. Petersburg., 1994. pp. 47-48.) Alexei Kouropatkin. From the diaries 1896. Odd that there's a page on the Golden Jubilee, but not the Diamond Jubilee, which had more significance, often regarded as the peak moment of British power and prestige. Valetude ( talk) 12:13, 31 December 2018 (UTC)

Mildred Childe Lee was an American society hostess and the youngest child of Robert E. Lee and Mary Anna Custis Lee and also a descendant of Charles II of England through Lady Charlotte Lee (granddaughter of Barbara Villiers), who married the 4th Baron Baltimore, and possibly, a descendant of George I, through Benedict Swingate Calvert (grandson of Lady Charlotte Lee), the illegitimate son of 5th Baron Baltimore and of an unknown mother, who was supposed to be Melusina von der Schulenburg, illegitimate daughter of George I.
In her later years, she travelled abroad to Europe, attending the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria. [1]
The information above concerning travelling abroad is mentioned in Lee's article. I only mentioned her ancestry to give some context. The primary concern is determining where to place Lee within the article's list of guests. Where should she be mentioned in this article? Should there be a new section called other notable guests, since she holds no royal titles? TreeElf ( talk) 22:10, 28 January 2024 (UTC)
