The article gives a number of Arabic forms for Gnawi terminology. I have to question the spelling of those terms in Arabic as they do not match my recollection of Maghrebine usage. Can anyone point to a source? Else, I would suggest removing the Arabic forms and leaving only the transliterations. ( Collounsbury 19:46, 28 February 2006 (UTC))
This article is great start. For example, its introduction is a brief overview. It would be awesome if the list of musicians could be incorporated into the article or if at least some of them could be discussed so that the coverage of performers is not just a list. It would be great if we could also have some references for information such as what is mentioned above and to cover some basic information throughout the article and especially in the introduction. For instance, the intro says they are "religions songs and rhythms" but fails to mention which religion or religions. Hyacinth ( talk) 22:34, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
I just started to listen to selections of Gnawa music, and came to the Wikipedia article hoping to have some questions answered, and I did learn a lot, but many of my questions are still unanswered. So here is a short list of questions that one reader would like to learn more about.

It would be quite helpful to include pronunciations - transliterations of the Arabic by themselves would be of some help, but not nearly as much as transcriptions of English pronunciations of the words as they are written here in English.
