Railway Inn in Leckhampton

Does anyone have a location? I suspect there was no such pub. The now-demolished 'Best Mate', once known as The Railway was on Swindon Road/Lane (ie the Cheltenham-Swindon Village road) and nowhere near Leckhampton.

Passengers

According to the article "it was considered that passengers might be carried on the line if locomotive operation was introduced", but the trial with Royal William clearly failed. Were passengers ever carried routinely? Martin of Sheffield ( talk) 09:54, 26 April 2018 (UTC) reply
