@ Jengod and Netherzone: I like the new article. Good job. ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 02:21, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
I have recorded the old AfD on this talk page even though the article title is a little different. There were two redirects to choose from when recreating this article: Gilman Hot Springs, California and Gilman Hot Springs. The first was the one with the long edit history that was merged after AfD to Gold Base; the second was only ever an alternative name redirect. Unfortunately, it was the second one which was chosen to construct the new content.
If the first one had been chosen, then it would keep the proper edit and action histories clear-cut. I'm not sure if there's any way to merge the histories of Gilman Hot Springs, California and Gilman Hot Springs at this point.
I'm leaving this note here for anyone else looking into this and getting confused. ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 02:21, 15 November 2023 (UTC)
I changed the Gilman Hot Springs, California redirect into a [pathetically deficient] stub for the unincorporated community in Riverside County.
It seems it has a zip code so there are likely some other things in "Gilman Hot Springs, California 92583" that are not part of the old "hot springs" resorts and also not part of Scientology's Gold Base. A bunch of the Scientology articles refer to "Gilman Hot Springs" as if it is a location like a town, not an ex-resort. I'm working my way through the articles which mention 'gilman hot springs' and change them to point to the correct one of two 'gilman hot springs' articles.
Feel free to update that article, too. I don't really know if the Gold Base property IS the entirety of "Gilman Hot Springs" or whether it covers less—or more—ground than the "community" of that name. Maybe you know. ▶ I am Grorp ◀ 01:57, 16 November 2023 (UTC)
