The source provided does not verify that the Dalai Lama recognized him as a Mahasiddha: The title of the page was not written by the Dalai Lama but rather by the site editors. The word "mahasiddha" is not used at all in the text actually written by the Dalai Lama. This appears to be someone attempting to put words in the Dalai Lama's mouth and does not verify the claim.
