This article has been previously deleted. The deletion was arbitrary and incorrect. If you believe that this article should be deleted, then please review the pages of all the founding members of the Memphis Group. They should all be deleted, or none. This entire group of designers has gone on to shape Industrial Design in Italy and worldwide.
This article is NOT "Blatant Advertising". If you believe it should be deleted, please "Propose for deletion", rather than "speedy deletion", as if this article is to be delted, then many others should follow. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Drkolos ( talk • contribs)
Ok, I will add plenty of reliable sources. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Drkolos ( talk • contribs) 07:40, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Reliable sources have been added, I will continue working on the wikipedia entry in a fair and balanced way, but not if somebody is going to mark it for an unfair speedy deletion. More sources and references will be added shortly. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Drkolos ( talk • contribs)
The earlier version was plagued by Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest and a lack of Wikipedia:Reliable sources. I am the one who originally nominated the article for speedy deletion. However, this new version clearly establishes his notability. In fact, it's a beautiful stub article. Look what good some deletion can lead to! Jobjörn ( talk) 19:22, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
I am also posting a discussion held on my talk page:
Hi, I have re-added the page about George Sowden and also the links on the Memphis Group page to link through to George Sowden. If you feel so strongly that George Sowden is 'non-notable', then I respectfully ask you to delete the links to all the other founding members of the Memphis group, as well as the respective biographies. Both as a group and as individuals, these people defined Industrial Design in Italy and worldwide in the 1980's and 1990's, and are the key players in the "Post-Modern" design movement. If you feel otherwise, that is your subjective view, not an objective one.
A simple google search will show pages and pages worth of independent articles and biographies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.146.145.93 ( talk • contribs)
