Neutral sources?

I've leaned heavily on the biographical account of his daughter and also on the obituary written by his wife, so I'm not sure how neutral/secondary I should consider them. In the context of the later being published in the Guardian, I've given it more weight because of that. I invite critique of that decision. I understand that the bar is a little lower because this is not the biography of a living person, but I'm new to this.

Of course there are also mainstream news sources that establish notability. For the avoidance of doubt and noting WP:THREE my top three sources are: BBC, The Conversation, & Architect's Journal.
