I have read that, as a result of the Armistice not being made known to all front-line troops immediately before or after taking effect, there were actually fatalities after 11:00 AM, and thus he was only symbolically, not actually, the last casualty. Price is taken to be the last Commonwealth death. I'm not sure who the last Central Power soldier killed is taken to be but Henry Gunther death was recorded as 10:59 and as is taken as the last American and also the last Allied fatality. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=16204809 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.132.240.5 ( talk) 21:13, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
