This section badly needs to be 'toned down' in terms of what seems a fairly obvious case of non-neutral point of view. In the version of the article which I saved a few minutes ago, I forgot to say that the reason for the change was "using new sabrbio template". Sorry!
As I made that change, I noticed that there were no inline citations at all, so I added that tag in the latest change. I don't dispute any of the facts in the article (I had barely heard of Gibson until I edited his article), but it would be nice to know what sources or references pertain to which information.
