The birth year 1546 was added by this edit with the comment "Added birthdate based on genealogical research, and crossreferencing with multiple references". As that would make him 105 years old at the time of his death, he would have reached an extraorinarily old age and basically all of his activities as a soldier would have taken place when he was beyond 100 years old. So if there is not a typo in the year or an error in the genealogical research (like a mix-up with a namesake father or the like) this would be a rather extreme biography. It would be good to state at least one of these "multiple references" so that this extraordinary age can actually be verified by others. Proofreader ( talk) 15:06, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
