Is the photo really of Grigsby?
I'm pretty sure that the photo used is actually of
James Wickersham, regardless of what the Library of Congress says. I previously flagged this on the photo's talk page. Anyone knows for sure, feel free to let us know.

I think I've already spent enough time on this, judging from the overwhelming lack of response. It's not collaboration when I'm left to do all the work. Anyway, I object to creating an account on a website just to communicate with the people there, so I haven't made any effort to contact the LoC. I did, however, visit the Wickersham House museum here in Fairbanks last summer. I showed the photo and explained the situation to the lady staffing the place. She expressed shock that anyone, let alone the Library of Congress (her words, not mine), would think this photo to be of anyone but James Wickersham.
