Викидим, I did see that, as I came here from following the
Upcountry disambiguation page. The issue is that relative to the overall topic "Geography of Sri Lanka", the specific reference to uncountry is not particularly important, and in fact was the only bold in the whole paragraph. If there was a section of the article about the upcountry, I would support it being bolded there, but not in the lede when it creates a false sense of importance about that term.

I have no strong opinion either way, so let's keep it as it was (no bold font). Once the section is in, redirect can be changed indeed.
