On 19 July 2017, it was proposed that this article be moved from Génesis Rodríguez to Genesis Rodriguez. The result of the discussion was Moved. |
The article read "She is known for her roles in the Telemundo television telenovela series Prisionera, Dame Chocolate and Doña Bárbara." This string of words contains "series" which is ambiguous as to singular vs plural number. The word series is followed by a string of words which constitutes an appositive to the term "series." Thus it would have to be set off by a semi-colon (since there are commas in the list). The simple solution to the diction is to just say "telenovelas," and delete "series." The punctuation problem is solved by adding "entitled" after telenovelas, then there is no appositional structure which requires a comma or semi-colon for embedded commas. Génesis Rodríguez →
Genesis Rodriguez – Per
WP:COMMONNAME. Her own personal verified Twitter, verified Instagram and verified Facebook pages spells her name without the accented é and í and presume she knows how to spell her own name. IMDb reflects that and credits shown at IMDb for released projects have only a few credits using the accented vowels. Most articles in English that mention her on other pages reflect the lack of accents.

Genesis Rodríguez – It is true that when people are born in the United States, their names do not have an accent. And it is understandable, but the surname is that of the father, and he was born in Venezuela. Therefore, the surname must go with an accent.
