The notability criteria for this (and other) lunar craters is covered by Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Common_outcomes#Transportation_and_geography. A named impact crater is comparable to a mountain, and hence is a major geographical feature. It can also be compared to a named asteroid. — RJH ( talk) 18:22, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
There is a conflict in cross-references, and I have no idea what is correct. See the Wiki entries: Geber (Crater), and List of Craters on the Moon (G). The conflict has to do with the eponym for this crater.
The List page links both the Geber (Crater) page and the page of Geber as the eponym.
This Geber (Crater) page links Jabir ibn Aflah as the eponym.
They do appear to be different people. Who is this crater actually named after.
