Layman explanations of what, for example, actually is lateral gaze is needed. A few WP med articles link here and even more use the different gaze terms specifically, and a few more probably refer to information here but they did not come up with the specific search terms I used to get the number of articles that refer in some way to this article. It should probably be rewritten into more of a stand alone article rather than a stub, especially considering the wealth of sources available. —Preceding
